About Me

I was born in Chertsey, Surrey, and went to School and College in Hampshire.  I moved to London to attend university, I attained an HND in Business, Management and Communications.  Following University I moved to Bournemouth and started working for an investment bank. I was very happy in my new job.  Then in 2003 I had a bad car accident, it rocked my world. I was off work for two years.

They say that out of bad can come good, and in my case this was definitely true.  In this time I learnt a lot of good lessons, and started to question what was important to me.  I learnt that the therapies that I used to heal myself mentally and physically were fascinating, and I experienced how beneficial they were on ones life.  This positive attitude, helped my healing process, and I am now back to full fitness and good health.  This made me realise, that this positive attitude, could be used in all walks of life.

My Influences
One lady that particularly inspired me named Marie Anne Thatcher from Southbourne, Bournemouth is a Cranial Sacral Therapist I was referred to her after the accident.  Every month I would lie on her treatment table and tell her anything that was on my mind.   Some of these thoughts and concerns were about what I had been through and some were about where I wanted to go in life and things I wanted to achieve.  Every time I left I felt refreshed and motivated to get on with my life and a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

Whatever had happened to me in the past I was dealing with it and moving on.  I learnt so many things from Marie Anne but what I hadn’t realised at the time was it wasn’t just the healing she was giving me that made me feel good, without me knowing she was life coaching me.  She was someone that wasn’t involved in my daily life so she would listen and be completely impartial and objective.  She also asked me open questions which led me to answer my own questions and solve my own problems.  We also used visualizations to help me with bad memories.

With her help I managed to overcome my concerns and fears about the accident and life.  In that time I learnt Anatomy and Physiology, Indian Head Massage, Reiki, Hopi Ear Treatments.  As I was dealing with people and their emotions on a daily basis I decided to do an introduction to Counseling course.  I really enjoyed the course and learnt a lot about leading people to their own answers but because of the type of person I am, someone who lives for the moment and look’s to the future, I decided not to carry on with the next part of the course.

Discovering Life Coaching
I then found out about Life Coaching and went to a free open evening in London.  It was really enjoyable and positive, right up my street, so I decided to sign up for a course in Bournemouth and I haven’t looked back since.  It wasn’t until I did the Life Coaching course that I can now see what Marie Anne was doing and it was so subtle but so effective that I want to be able to help others in the same way.

Life coaching can help anyone and if you are motivated and have an idea of what you want out of life, you can get there, you just have to follow your heart and if you do this you will always succeed.
Since I set up Natural life Coaching, I have had nothing but praise from clients.  What gives me more pleasure than anything is, when after finishing a course of Life Coaching sessions, people tell me they have a more positive attitude on life, they can now move forward, and achieve things that they never thought possible.

I am a friendly, easy person to talk to, and a very good listener.

With the rest of my time I love to spend time with my family, read, write, socialise and keep fit.
